Subway

Suzanne Greco, who began her tenure with the SUBWAY® restaurant chain as a Sandwich Artist™ in 1973, rose through the ranks to become President and CEO of the company, where she oversaw day-to-day operations as well as directed the company’s growth strategy.  Suzanne ultimately devoted 45 years to the family business and saw the chain grow to some 45,000 locations worldwide. In May of 2018, Suzanne elected to leave her post but continues to serve as Senior Advisor.

Even before she became a Sandwich Artist™, Suzanne had been part of Team Subway since the first store opened as a family business more than 50 years ago, and brought a lifetime of SUBWAY® experience to this role. For 24 years, she led the research and development team, spearheading many important initiatives designed to continuously improve the menu and customer experience. In 2012 Suzanne’s responsibilities expanded significantly when she began overseeing the Operations Department and her responsibilities expanded again when she began overseeing the Marketing Department.

In 1996, Suzanne facilitated the creation of the Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC) to handle the SUBWAY® brand’s product purchasing.  Today there are five IPC co-ops around the world providing the brand’s global supply of food and packaging at quality standards. Suzanne was actively involved in the Global Strategic Planning Committees and until recently, served on its Board of Directors. She holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University, where she serves on the Board of Trustees as well as the Business School’s Board of Visitors.
